Just last week one individual port doesn't light up a drive. I've had my Norcotek RPC-24 bay server chassis for about 8 years or so. DO NOT try to string along many drives using individual SATA data cables to a motherboard. I definitively recommend using a server type chassis with a backplane. Or use a high end video card in the server and send HDMI out right to tv. But to get best quality at times and atmos surround I don’t mind a second player if that’s what is needed. I would like to direct play my 1:1 rips streaming to Apple TV's as that’s my main go to streamer. Don’t know if it can run thru docker and skip windows altogether?
